To help answer any questions you may have, we’ve compiled a list of the most common questions our customers have asked us. If you can’t find the answer to your question below, then please do get in touch with us directly as we’d love to help you.
I’m self-isolating. Can you still deliver to me?
Yes we can. All our deliveries adhere to social distancing rules and government guidelines.
We are currently offering free delivery for any sized order to those living in the Ryedale area during lockdown.
What extra precautions are Cooks Larder taking?
COVID-19 is not considered a food safety issue by the Food Standards Agency. Therefore, our main focus is on limiting the risk of spreading the virus through human contact. All our drivers wear face masks for delivery and follow strict social distancing measures.
Do you offer contact-free delivery?
Yes we do.
How are you supporting small, British suppliers during this time of crisis?
Over 80% of our suppliers are small businesses. During the pandemic and beyond one of our primary goals is to help Yorkshire Farmers and artisan producers connect with customers.
Do you deliver to my area?
To check if we deliver to your area, please visit our delivery page. If we don’t deliver to your area just yet, please call or email us as we will try and deliver where possible and look at alternative solutions to get fresh Yorkshire products to you.
As of 2021, we have started to deliver Yorkshire Larder Essentials on a national level. To find out more about our national delivery costs, please use the postcode calculator located at checkout.
Can I choose my delivery day & time?
We will only be delivering in your area on a set day each week. This ensures the produce you receive is as fresh as it can possibly be. Your delivery day and time depends on where you live. Our cut off time for same week delivery is Monday 4 pm so make sure to get your delivery order in before then.
Do I have to be home to receive my delivery?
No, not necessarily. We want our service to be as convenient as possible for you, so please provide us detailed instructions of where you would like the produce left. We will take photos and text them to you once we have delivered your items. Bear in mind that some of the produce we deliver may need refrigerating, so take care not to leave it too long after your items have been delivered before returning home.
What happens if I’m not home when you try to deliver?
We will try and contact you to find out where the best place is to leave your produce.
Can I send my order as a gift?
Yes! To send a gift, simply put the address the delivery is to go to. You can also provide a gift message at checkout to make things even more special for the recipient.
